Minibus for Ukraine

This busy mini bus which came to Dolen Teifi from Ystwyth Community Transport is now ready to begin its journey to join Operation Mobilisation and their work to support refugees on the Polish Ukraine border.

All this has come together in about two week.  Thank you to all the volunteers and Dolen Teifi staff who have organised, cleaned, scrubbed, sorted the bus, and the donations. Thank you to all the businesses, and people who have donated essential items to take, and money to get the bus there...

Dolen Teifi staff and volunteer drivers are here to assist you with any transport issues you may have, whether it is for attending vaccination clinics, doctor, dentist, opticians, hospital appointments or shopping.
 
We have a variety of vehicles that can transport you to wherever you want to go, consisting of 16-seater minibuses, 5 seaters cars and EV electrical cars. All the above are wheelchair accessible and are equipped with protected screens between the driver and the passengers.

New Electric Transport Project

NEW ELECTRIC TRANSPORT PROJECT LAUCHED IN THE LLANDYSUL AND SURROUNDING AREA

Community FundLlandysul a Phont-Tyweli Ymlaen have been successful in securing £446k from the National Lottery’s Community Fund to develop an ultra-low emission, low carbon, fully accessible transport solution. The vehicles are fully accessible 7-seater electrically powered Nissan Multi-Purpose Vehicle (MPV) that includes space for a wheelchair. The vehicles will be placed within a flexible eight-mile radius of Llandysul to address the lack of provision of transport for all individuals and groups to access key local and regional services around the area of Llandysul and its hinterland...

FEEDING THE COMMUNITY

Another of Dolen Teifi Community Transport minibus based in Llanelli is being used by Llwynhendy Food Bank.  During the Covid-19 the Llwynhendy and Pemberton forum crew have been busy using the Transport for All minibus to collect medication and deliver food parcels from their food bank to residents throughout Llanelli. Supporting Communities

We have made available one bus to be at the disposal of Help Llandysul, a group that has been set up in response to the challenges posed by Covid-19 to assist individuals or families that have to shield or need support in accessing shopping or to the hospital.
HELP! Llandysul and area was formed in order to help the community and a network of over 30 volunteers was created in the first few weeks.

Celebration of the 100th Volunteer Driver for Llandysul a Phont-Tyweli Ymlaen

Transport for All has several community mini-buses,  which are available to groups and organisations to provide access to essential community services promoting community activity, social inclusion, community cohesion, regeneration, rural health, wellbeing and recovery from mental health problems. Development officer, Rod Bowen said: "This is an important milestone. "When we achieved the unthinkable 100th volunteer driver we were incredibly pleased”.
